What is Faulkner's Needling?

Faulkner's Needling is a minimally invasive procedure under local anaesthetic used to treat verrucas by stimulating the body's immune system to fight the virus. It involves multiple punctures to the verruca, encouraging the body to recognize and reject the infected cells.

Faulkner's Needling offers a targeted approach to eliminate verrucas effectively.

The Procedure

  • Local anaesthetic is injected around the verruca to ensure the area is pain free prior to starting.
  • A sterile needle is used to puncture the verruca multiple times.
  • The procedure allows the body to recognise the virus and initiates the immune response.
  • The area is dressed with a sterile dressing prior to leaving the clinic.

Aftercare

  • Generally most people return to normal activity the next day.
  • There is very minimal down time.
  • Often only one treatment required
